[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 16일 장금용 제1부시장 주재로 ‘지방시대 종합계획 발표 대응 관련 부서 회의’를 개최했다. 이번 회의는 지난 1일 제1차 지방시대 종합계획이 발표됨에 따라 지자체 차원에서 주도적인 과제 발굴과 전략 마련을 통해 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 마련됐다.

지방분권·균형발전·재정·교육 분야별 검토 및 대응 논리 개발 등을 위해 15명의 관련 부서장이 참석해, 지방시대에 적극적으로 나서기 위해 대응 T/F팀 구성 방안과 분야별 세부 사업 발굴을 논의했다.

한편 지방시대 종합계획은 지난 11월 1일, 5대 전략 22개 핵심과제를 토대로 발표되었다. 주요 내용으로는 △기회 발전 특구 지정 △교육 발전 특구(가칭) 도입 △‘문화 특구(대한민국 문화도시)’ 지정 △디지털 혁신지구 조성 △첨단 신산업 육성 지원 △특화산업 육성 지원 △교통인프라 확충 지원 등이 있으며 창원특례시는 해당 과제별 세부 실행계획을 마련하여 지방시대위원회, 정부 부처, 국회 등에 다각적으로 건의할 예정이다.

향후 창원특례시는 T/F팀 구성과 함께 부서별 대응 계획 수립, 지방시대위원회 운영 조례 제정 등 부울경 초광역경제동맹추진단 및 도·중앙 지방시대위원회 등과 지속해서 협의할 계획이다.
